The Big Idea
How can we leverage technology to help the Greenwich Village
district
increase traffic to local businesses and restore the community's
vibrancy post-pandemic?
This project was part of a graduate course at Cornell Tech, INFO 5420 Urban Design
Strategies. The goal of the course was for CS and
Architecture students to work together with New York City's Business Improvement
Districts (BIDs) to design a technology solution that would help bring back
customers to local businesses and improve the vibrancy of the local neighborhood. Our team's
client was the Village
Alliance BID, which represents thousands of
businesses and more than 40,000 residents in Greenwich Village, NYC.
